This recipe comes from the 1973 cookbook, Scandinavian Cooking. Ingredients:
2 lbs apples, peeled, cored, cubed |
1/4 cup water |
2 tablespoons white wine |
1 tablespoon sugar |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, cook apples with water for about 15 minutes or until just tender, stirring occasionally, then stir in the wine. 2. Remove from heat & mash until lumpy but not yet smooth. 3. Add sugar, to taste, then chill before serving. |
