One of our favorite chefs makes these to serve with burgers or steaks. We think they are great with anything! Ingredients:
3 leeks, julienned |
1 cup buttermilk |
1 cup flour |
1 cup cornmeal |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon pepper |
1 teaspoon old bay seasoning |
Directions:
1. Soak the leels in the buttermilk. While it is soaking, make the flour mixture of the rest of ingredients. Fry in a deep fryer or deep frying pan until crisp & golden. (About 3-6 minutes). Drain on paper towels. |
