Euryale ferox or for nuts or 'Makhana' as they are called in India, is an organic herbal food with protein as high as 14.52%!
Ingredients:
1/2 lb euryale ferox nuts
salt
ground black pepper
ghee (optional) or clarified butter (optional)
Directions:
1. Place a non-stick pan on medium heat and add ghee to it.
2. Add the Makhana to this pan and start roasting them until they turn light golden brown in color and become crispy.
3. Remove from heat.
4. While they are warm, sprinkle black pepper and salt.
5. Enjoy this with your loved ones!
