Bread to begin the night before. Ingredients:
1-1/2 cups raisins |
2 cups hot water |
2 tablespoons butter |
2 teaspoon soda |
mix the raisins,hot water,butter,and soda |
cover and let stand overnight. |
2 cups sugar |
2 eggs,well beaten |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
4 cups all-purpose flour |
1 teaspoon vanilla extract |
1 cup chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. The Next Morning,add the Raisin mixture to the above ingredients. 2. Pour into 3 greased and floured 1-pound coffee cans,filling each 3. 1/2 full. 4. Bake in a 350 degree oven for 1 Hour 5. Begin preparations the night before you plan to bake this bread. |
