A Really Good Sweet Potato Recipe |

This always gets rave reviews when I make it for the holidays. You'd think it was a dessert if you didn't know better. Ingredients:
3 large eggs, beaten |
6 cups sweet potatoes, mashed |
2/3 cup sugar |
2/3 cup butter, melted |
1/3 cup heavy cream |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1/2 teaspoon allspice |
1 cup light brown sugar, packed |
1/3 cup flour |
1 cup chopped pecans |
1/3 cup butter, softened |
Directions:
1. Beat eggs, stir in potatoes until blended. Add remaining ingredients and put in buttered dish (9 x 13). 2. Topping:. 3. Mix brown sugar, flour and nuts together. Work butter iinto mixture with hands until well blended. Sprinkle on top of potatoes and bake at 350 for 1 hour. |
