herb butter |
1/2 cup italian parsley chopped |
2 tbs fresh tarragon |
2 tbs fresh chopped basil |
2 tbs fresh snipped chives |
1 stick unsalted butter softened |
1 tsp fresh ground black pepper |
1/2 tsp salt |
curry butter |
1 cup unsalted butter |
1/2 tbs curry powder |
1 tbs fresh lemon juice |
1/2 tsp ground ginger |
strawberry butter |
1/2 cup unsalted butter |
1/2 cup pureed strawberries |
1 tbs powder sugar |
1 tsp grated orange zest |
or |
1 tsp fresh lime juice |
ginger peach butter |
1/2 cup unsalted butter |
1/4 cup sugar |
3/4 tsp chopped crystalized ginger |
dash salt |
1/4 cup mashed ripe peaches |
Directions:
1. For all herb butters: 2. soften butter 3. Blend in herb etc and beat with electric mixer medium speed 1 to 2 minutes 4. For herb butters: 5. Turn mixture onto a piece of plastic wrap and form butter into a log about 2 inches into diameter 6. Freeze or refrigerate till firm 7.
