I chose the name of this recipe because I havent been able to find it anywhere else. A favorite of my mother's on Thanksgiving. I hope you enjoy it too. Makes 2 pies. Ingredients:
1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk |
1/2 cup lemon juice |
2 cups pumpkin |
2/3 cup brown sugar |
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon |
1/2 teaspoon clove |
1/2 teaspoon ginger |
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg |
1 cup flaked coconut |
1 cup nuts, chopped |
1 (8 ounce) container cool whip |
2 graham cracker pie crust |
Directions:
1. Blend sweetened condensed milk and lemon juice and stir until thickened. 2. Add pumpkin, brown sugar, cinnamon, cloves, ginger, nutmeg, coconut & nuts. 3. Stir until blended. 4. Add Cool Whip. 5. Pour into graham cracker pie crust. 6. Refrigerate 4 hours. |
