From Hung Dat at Madison Middle School. Ingredients:
1 head lettuce |
3 tomatoes, sliced |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
2 tablespoons oil, any kind (2 tblsp.) |
1/2 lb beef, sliced |
mayonnaise |
2 tablespoons tapioca starch |
1/2 teaspoon salt |
1/2 teaspoon sugar |
1 tablespoon soy sauce (1 tblsp.) |
Directions:
1. Mix beef with sugar, salt, and soy sauce. Add tapioca starch. Heat oil in fry pan. Crush the garlic with the side of a knife and stir it in the oil until it turns black. Add beef, stirring until it does not stick to the pan while cooking. Using an oval-shaped dish, place lettuce leaves around the dish. Place cooked beef in the center of the dish. Place tomato slices around the beef. Top with dabs of mayonnaise. |
