Got this from my mother....easy to put together and quite tasty. Sometimes I'll add a can of corn, or whatever leftover cooked veggies in my fridge during the last hour of cooking. Ingredients:
2 lbs beef stew meat |
1 1/2 teaspoons salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 tablespoon sugar |
3 tablespoons tapioca |
3 -4 medium potatoes, diced |
1 onion, chopped |
1 cup celery, diced |
2 cups carrots, chopped |
1 cup tomato juice |
1 slice of crumbled bread |
Directions:
1. Mix in crockpot. 2. cook 8 hours on low. |
