Ingredients:
2 stick(s) butter softened |
1/2 cup(s) vegetable shortening |
3 cup(s) granulated sugar |
5 eggs |
3 cup(s) cake flour, sifted twice sifted twice |
7 ounce(s) 7up (or sprite or sierra mist) |
1 teaspoon(s) vanilla extract |
1 teaspoon(s) almond extract |
Directions:
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a tube pan. 2. Cream together butter, shortening, and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Gradually add flour, alternating with 7UP and the extracts, until combined. 3. Bake in the tube pan for 45 minutes. Reduce heat to 300 degrees and bake 35 minutes more. |
