Ingredients:
1/2 clove(s) garlic |
1 pound(s) gruyere cheese |
8 ounce(s) emmentaler cheese |
1/2 cup(s) dry white wine |
1 teaspoon(s) lemon juice |
4 teaspoon(s) corn starch |
1 1/2 tablespoon(s) kirsch |
1 pinch(s) pepper |
1 pinch(s) nutmeg |
Directions:
1. Rub garlic on inside of pot. Coarsely grate cheese and put in pot. Add wine, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Stir over medium heat until cheese melts. Stir with wooden spoon in a figure 8 to avoid stringy cheese. Stir in seasonings. Cook until smooth and creamy. 2. Non-alcoholic version: 1 cup apple juice, 3 Ts lemon juice, 1 T corn starch. |
