I have baked this cake many times before..baked it last nite using CAKE FLOUR instead of all-purpose flour..hands down, the BEST exchange I've ever done!! Ingredients:
3 sticks butter, softened |
3 c sugar |
5 eggs |
3 c cake flour |
2 t lemon extract/flavoring |
1 t vanilla extract/flavoring |
3/4 c seven-up at room temperature |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. 2. In large bowl, cream butter. 3. Slowly add sugar & cream together until fluffy. 4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition,. 5. Slowly add flour & mix well, until smooth. 6. Stir in lemon, vanilla, & seven-up. 7. Pour batter into a well-greased & floured cake pan (bundt or tube) * 8. Bake 90 mins or until done.** 9. Cool before cutting. |
