A dessert made in many Indian households. I got it from a colleague's wife. A simple recipe, but it takes practice to make it perfect Ingredients:
1 cup ghee (clarified butter) |
1 cup desiccated coconut |
1 cup chickpea flour |
3 cups sugar |
1 cup milk |
Directions:
1. Mix all the ingredients, put in a heavy bottomed vessel and put on the flame. 2. Stir continuously for 20 minutes. Reduce the flame during the last 5 minutes. 3. Remove from the flame when the mixture leaves the sides of the vessel. 4. Pour it in a flat dish/tray and cut into squares when cool. |
