These are a holiday tradition for my family. Every year on Christmas morning we can't wait for warm Bran Muffins and Kona Banana Bread. These reheat well by grilling or put in the microwave for 15 seconds. This makes a nice gift, divide into festive jars and give away.
Ingredients:
1 (15 ounce) box raisin bran cereal
3 cups sugar
5 cups flour
5 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons salt
1 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs, beaten
1 quart buttermilk
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions:
1. In a large bowl mix cereal, sugar, flour, soda, salt, and cinnamon.
2. Add eggs, oil, and buttermilk. Mix well.
3. Store and refrigerate.
4. Fill greased tins (or cups) 2/3 full and bake at 350 for 12-15 minutes.
