One of the best cole slaws I've had! This recipe can be cut in half or 1/4 to make smaller batches. Ingredients:
2 bunches scallions |
1 green pepper |
1 yellow pepper |
2 cups sugar |
2 tablespoons dry mustard |
2 tablespoons celery seeds |
1 1/2 tablespoons kosher salt |
1 tablespoon ground pepper |
2 cups vinegar |
2 cups vegetable oil |
5 lbs coleslaw mix |
Directions:
1. In a mini chopper-chop fine: scallions, green yellow pepper. 2. In a separate bowl, Mix well together: sugar, dry mustard, celery seed, kosher salt, pepper. 3. In a separate bowl, Mix well together: vinegar, vegetable oil. 4. Add in order (1,2 and 3) mixtures to a 5# bag of coleslaw mix. Mix well. |
