For anyone who LOVES HOT FOOD!! i personally have to reduce the cayenne pepper to 1/8 tsp. It's also a great potato topper so you dont have to waste your calories on butter. Ingredients:
1 pound lean ground beef, chicken or turkey breast |
1 onion, chopped |
1 clove garlic, minced |
1 green pepper, seeded and chopped |
14 oz pinto beans, drained |
28 oz diced tomatoes |
1 tsp oregano |
1/2 tsp cumin |
1/2 tsp black pepper |
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown ground beef in a non-stick dutch over or a large pot along with onion, garlic and green pepper over medium heat until beef is fully cooked. Drain of any excess oil. Add spices and beans. Stir together for 1 minute. Add tomatoes and bring to a boil. lower heat and simmer on low for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally. |
