This recipe is a crowd pleaser. A good side for a grilled dinner. Ingredients:
1/2 cup cider vinegar |
1/2 cup sugar |
1 tsp. salt |
1 16 oz. can cut green beans, rinsed and drained |
1 16 oz. can wax beans, rinsed and drained |
1 16 oz. can kidney beans, rinsed and drained |
1 16 oz. can garbanzo beans, rinsed and drained |
1 cup sweet red onions, quartered and thinly sliced |
1/2 cup celery, thinly sliced, diagonally |
1/3 cup olive oil |
1/2 tsp. freshly ground white pepper |
Directions:
1. In a medium saucepan over low heat, combine vinegar, sugar and salt. Heat and stir to dissolve the sugar. 2. Remove from heat and combine with remaining ingredients. 3. Cover and chill for 2-48 hours, stirring often. 4. Serve slightly chilled or at room temperature. |
