Homemade brownie recipe on back of Whole Foods semi-sweet chocolate chip bag - always get rave reviews when I make this Ingredients:
2/3 cup butter |
1-1 1/2 cup sugar |
1/4 cup water |
2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips |
2 tsp. vanilla extract |
4 eggs |
1-1 1/2 cup flour |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 tsp. baking soda |
optional: 1 cup chopped nuts |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees 2. Combine butter, sugar, water in saucepan and just bring to a boil 3. Reduce heat and add chocolate chips and vanilla extract; stir constantly until chocolate melted 4. Place chocolate mixture in large bowl and beat in eggs one at a time 5. Combine flour, salt and baking soda in separate small bowl 6. Gradually add the dry mixture to the chocolate batter 7. Add nuts if desired 8. Spread into greased 13 X 9 baking pan 9. Bake 50 minutes |
