This is another recipe from the cookbook Taste and see. The title is supposed to have a dollar sign but it wont let me. Ingredients:
2 c. plain flour |
2 c. sugar |
1 c. water |
1 stick margarine |
4 t. cocoa |
1 c. crisco oil |
1/2 tsp. salt |
1/2 cup buttermilk |
1/2 tsp. soda |
2 beaten eggs |
icing |
4 t. milk |
4 t. cocoa |
1 tsp. vanilla |
1 stick margarine |
1 box powdered sugar |
Directions:
1. Mix in a sauce pan: water, margarine, cocoa, and oil. 2. Boil 1 minute stirring constantly. 3. Add to this flour and sugar. 4. Then add soda into buttermilk. 5. Add this to flour mixture along with salt and eggs. 6. Bake in bundt pan 40 minutes at 350 degrees. 7. Note: Be sure to grease and flour pan. 8. ===================================================== 9. Icing 10. Heat mixture, stirring constantly, until it comes to boil, remove from heat and add powdered sugar. Stir well and pour over hot cake. |
