This recipe comes from an old handwritten recipe given by an older family member.
Ingredients:
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 egg
1 cup breadcrumbs
1 small onion, chopped, to taste
1 1/4 teaspoons salt
1/4 teaspoon pepper
5 3/8 ounces tomato soup
5 3/8 ounces tomato soup
1 cup water
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons brown sugar
Directions:
1. Mix meat loaf ingredients well in a 1 1/2 to 2 quart baking dish.
2. Put meat loaf in 350 degree oven and begin cooking while you prepare the sauce.
3. Combine sauce ingredients, mix well and pour over meat loaf that is in the oven cooking.
4. Cook for a total of 1 1/2 hours.
