1930 Recipe for Mincemeat Cake |

This recipe is from a church group cookbook. I have not made this yet, but it sounds worth trying. Ingredients:
1 cup sugar |
1/2 cup oil |
2 eggs |
1 cup buttermilk |
1 teaspoon baking soda |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
2 cups all-purpose flour |
1/2 cup dark corn syrup |
1 cup pecans (chopped) |
9 ounces mincemeat |
Directions:
1. Cream sugar, eggs, and oil. Add milk alternately with flour which has been mixed with soda and salt. Add syrup, pecans and mincemeat. Bake in bundt pan at 350 degrees for about an 1 hour or until an inserted toothpick comes out clean. |
