I found this recipe in a cookbook of old American magazine recipes. This bread is good spread with jam for breakfast or you could make a jam banana sandwich which is excellent. For those with a peanut allergy you can use another nut butter like almond. Ingredients:
2 cups flour |
4 teaspoons baking powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/3 cup sugar |
1/2 cup peanut butter |
1 1/2 cups skim milk |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit. 2. sift first 4 ingredients together in bowl. 3. add PB, mix well 4. add milk, beat well. 5. pour batter into a loaf tin. 6. bake 1 hour or until a toothpick comes out clean. |
