Here is a quick and easy comfort food, that has a bit of spice to it to make the flavor just a little different than the regular mac 'n cheese - To Jazz it up you can also stir in 1 cup of your favorite frozen vegetable during the last 5 minutes of the macaroni cooking time. Ingredients:
2 cups water |
1 cup milk |
2 cups macaroni, uncooked |
1 (19 ounce) can diced tomatoes, drained (with garlic and olive oil) |
1/2 cheez whiz |
Directions:
1. Pour water and milk into small saucepan; bring to a boil on medium-high heat. Add macaroni; stir. Return to boil. 2. Reduce heat to medium. Cook 10 minutes or until macaroni is tender and liquid is absorbed, stirring frequently. Remove from heat. 3. Add tomatoes and Cheez Whiz; stir until Cheez Whiz is completely melted and mixture is well blended,. |
