This is, without a doubt, the easiest way to teach someone how to make a simple cake. This is how I learned back when they still taught home econ. in school!!!! Ingredients:
1 cup oil |
2 cups sugar |
3 eggs |
4 cups flour |
5 teaspoons baking soda |
1 teaspoon vanilla |
2 cups milk |
Directions:
1. In a mixing bowl, mix the ingredients in order as they are listed.
2. Beat with a hand mixer at high for about 5 minutes.
3. Pour into greased and floured cake pans.
4. Bake at 375 degrees for 30-35 minutes until knife comes out clean when inserted in the center.
5. Cool and apply your favorite icing.
