This is a good sauce for pasta! Recipe is from Woman's Day. Plan ahead: Use half the sauce for 1 lb pasta, then refrigerate the rest up to 1 week, or freeze. Ingredients:
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 medium onion, chopped |
2 teaspoons minced garlic |
1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
1 (14 1/2 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1/4 teaspoon italian seasoning |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon sugar |
1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper |
Directions:
1. Heat oil in a saucepan. 2. Add onions and garlic; cook 4 minutes. 3. Stir in remaining ingredients. 4. Simmer, uncovered, 6 minutes. |
